At the moment, we live in the 21st century, in which computers are becoming much more powerful and faster. As a consequence, they can handle more data for calculations.
Over the years, the amount of data has become bigger. These data can only be investigated by performing processes in steps. Each process has its own task with an input and output. Process 1 can generate output that can be used as input for process 2. The output of process 2 can be used as input for process 3. Etcetera.
Putting all the processes after one another, you get a pipeline. So, these pipelines are always being built for investigating big data. Building a pipeline can be accomplished in several ways. But there are no rules for that unfortunately.
That's why this website Majops was started. The inventor of Majops is a bioinformatician and a software engineer, who aims to help the world with his way of building pipelines in Linux very organized.
The website Majops gives you the guidelines in building pipelines in Linux very organized according to Majops.
